Jon Swartz

Jon Swartz is a veteran Silicon Valley journalist with more than three decades of experience covering technology, having worked as a high-tech reporter since 1987. He spent 17 years as USA Today's San Francisco bureau chief covering Silicon Valley trends, before joining Barron's Group as a senior reporter and later serving as MarketWatch's senior reporter covering major technology companies such as Netflix, Facebook and Google. Earlier in his career he also wrote for MacWEEK, Forbes, the San Francisco Chronicle, the New Orleans Times-Picayune, and London's Independent and Times. Swartz has won numerous journalism awards, been named a two-time finalist for the Loeb Awards (business journalism's equivalent of the Pulitzer), and received four Pulitzer Prize nominations; he sits on the board of directors of the San Francisco Press Club.
