About the Author: Gregory Kurtzer
Gregory Kurtzer is the CEO and Founder of CIQ and a longtime open source advocate for infrastructure, HPC principles, and efficient system design. He founded and led multiple foundational open source projects including CentOS, Rocky Linux, Warewulf, and Apptainer (formerly Singularity). Previously, Gregory served as lead HPC Architect for Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and UC Berkeley, and now focuses on helping organizations navigate the intersection of AI, Linux, and modern infrastructure.
