As the alternative band, Cracker, put it in 1992 on their self-titled debut album, “What the world needs now is another folk singer like I need a hole in my head.” Charles “Chip” Stuart and Mark Miller feel the same. Just swap in “AI fluff trade show” for folk singers, because the world doesn’t need more of those. The world needs a reset, reboot, CTRL*ALT*DEL to clear the current AI marketing blue screen of death.

That’s exactly what Miller and Stuart had in mind when they first conceived the first global Artificial Unintelligence Conference taking place in 2025.

AI Unleashed 2025

Frustrated by the rise of hype cycles, shallow vendor pitches and a prevailing narrative that AI exists to replace human work, they envisioned something fundamentally different: A global gathering where substance beats spectacle, real-world use cases replace product demos, and community replaces exclusivity. In their words, “This isn’t a hype event. It’s an AI community movement.”

Set for September 16–17, 2025, Artificial Unintelligence is a fully virtual, free-to-attend event built for the doers. The builders. The ones asking hard questions and solving harder problems with AI. The real AI innovators doing real work for real use cases. And above all, it’s for the global community of technologists, thinkers, tinkerers and teachers who believe AI should augment human potential, not erase it.

A Conference Built on Vision, Not Vendor Budgets

The idea began with Stuart’s simple but radical proposition: Build an AI conference from the ground up that reflects how real people work, learn and share knowledge today. That meant rejecting the tired “pay-to-play” speaker rosters, the glitzy Vegas booths, and the U.S.-centric time zones. It meant creating a virtual space that’s open, accessible and truly global, what Miller calls a “follow-the-sun format.”

“We have speakers and attendees from APAC, EMEA, LATAM and across North America,” Miller says. “We’re honoring their time zones, their work-life balance and their desire to participate meaningfully. That’s how you build an actual community.”

From the start, this visionary duo has led every foundational aspect of the conference: Business formation, compliance, strategy, operations, branding and global logistics. “This wasn’t a side project or a marketing stunt,” Stuart says. “It’s a response to what our industry truly needs. To what the world needs.  Real engagement about real use cases, ideas and innovations for AI.  Today and in the future.”

Soon after shaping the foundation, the team focused on scaling speaker outreach and elevating the creative voice of the event. Together, Stuart and Miller have built a shared leadership model rooted in industry experience, complementary strengths and aligned vision for AI.

Beyond Hype: Real Problems, Real People, Real Progress

What sets Artificial Unintelligence apart isn’t just its global structure, it’s its unapologetically practitioner-first agenda. There’s no product pushing. No buzzword bingo. Instead, speakers are vetted for their ability to share real lessons, failures, and innovations from the field.

“Our litmus test is simple,” Stuart says. “If your talk is about how your product saves the world, we’re not the conference for you. But if you’re showing how AI helped you tackle a complex workflow, helped your team move faster, or changed how you collaborate, then you’re exactly who we want.”

To date, over 80 speakers have been accepted, with a target of 100+ sessions spanning AI in cybersecurity, education, ethics, automation, public policy and more. But what excites Miller most is the nature of the attendees. “These aren’t just job titles. They’re thinkers. People from all backgrounds and regions striving to improve how we leverage AI in positive ways to live, work and learn together more effectively and efficiently. That’s the audience our sponsors are reaching.”

A Sponsorship Model That Gives More Than it Takes

Unlike traditional conferences, where sponsors drop five to six figures for logo placement, an 8×8 piece of carpet and badge scans from those approved attend, Artificial Unintelligence flips the script. “We’re not here to pad CRMs and give away squishy stress balls,” says Stuart, “we’re here to maximize impact!”

Sponsor dollars go directly into reaching each partner’s ideal customer profile, curated audiences that match their goals, whether they’re building AI products or hiring skilled practitioners. Platinum sponsors even get bespoke webinars, editorial features and guided access to a global community of implementers and learners.

“There’s nothing else like it out there,” Miller says. “Our sponsors help fund access and engagement, not exclusivity. They get to shape the conversation without dominating it.”

The Human Side of AI

For Stuart, the name “Artificial Unintelligence” isn’t a joke, it’s a mission statement. “It’s a nod to the reality that we still have so much to learn. It’s not about perfect algorithms. It’s about the messy, human journey of applying these tools responsibly and creatively.”

And that’s exactly who the conference attracts: People who want to understand how to embed AI into their daily work, how to prompt more effectively, how to build and collaborate in new ways, without the fearmongering of obsolescence.

“If you’re betting on AI replacing humans, this isn’t your event,” Stuart says. “But if you believe it can help you build better teams, stronger communities and a more inclusive future, then you must be here.”

A Speaker Roster That Reflects the Mission

Artificial Unintelligence 2025 isn’t just about breadth, it’s about intention. Speaker slots aren’t handed out based on sponsorship dollars or big-name logos. Every presenter is vetted for their ability to share meaningful, human-centered applications of AI.

“Our speakers aren’t selling products, they’re sharing playbooks and ideas,” Miller says. “We’re bringing in builders, educators, researchers and technologists who are using AI to solve real problems. The conference is packed with powerful sessions that everyone can learn from and apply that knowledge to new and future use cases.”

The speaker roster already includes global experts from cybersecurity, healthcare, higher education, nonprofit tech, infrastructure, as well as university students already pushing the innovation envelope and questioning the world around them.  “Every speaker is stepping up to add value to the community, each contributing global perspectives and grounded use cases. Whether it’s prompt engineering, ethics in automation, or AI’s role in accessibility, the sessions are built for those shaping the future, not just talking about it,” highlighted Miller.

An AI Call to Action Not To Be Ignored!

Artificial Unintelligence 2025 takes place online, everywhere, September 16–17. Speaker submissions are still open. Sponsor slots are available. The early bird window for discounted sponsorship rates closes July 16.

If you’re building with AI, thinking critically about its role in your world, or hiring people who are, this is where you belong. You must participate in this event!
